Approach & About
I am a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapist. My role is to create a safe and nurturing environment so you can explore difficult issues, strengthen your inner resources and build a repertoire of skills to use moving forward. We will use conversation, mindful awareness, and mind/body interventions to help you understand your emotions, make decisions that fit your values and live a more satisfying life. My specialties include life transitions, depression, anxiety, healing from trauma, and Perinatal Mental Health.
"Perinatal Mental Health" is a catch-all term for mental health concerns related to the transition to parenthood. They may include preconception counseling, pregnancy termination, infertility, miscarriage and infant loss, pregnancy and postpartum depression/anxiety, postadoption depression and traumatic birth experiences. As a certified perinatal mental health therapist (PMH-C), I have specialized training to support families along the reproductive health continuum. It is a privilege to work with families and I am happy to coordinate care with your team of providers as needed.
I am a LGBTQ+ affirming provider and honor diversity within my practice.
