The Administrative Assistant will be supporting day-to-day operations at Hollywood Mental Health, a clinic providing outpatient mental health services. This individual will be the one of the primary people at the front office, greeting clients and managing daily operations. Responsibilities will include greeting clients, answering phone calls, and other receptionist duties. This person will be responsible for scheduling clients, reviewing new client inquiries, gathering and entering client data into the electronic health record. Activities include but are not limited to follow-up on unpaid claims, identifying balances, working insurance claims, sending statements, preparing deposits, documentation and handling all insurance/patient contact in a professional manner. As an administrative assistant you would be required to cross over into the clinical area to provide appropriate assistance to medical staff such as taking patient vital signs when appropriate. Training may be provided where necessary.
This position is part-time (20 hours). We are flexible on the specific days and hours but they should occur during hours that we see clients (M-Th 8-7pm).
2+ years experience working in an administrative position
1+ years experience working in mental health
Knowledge of insurance terms and processes
Experience working in mental health preferred
Familiarity with billing and receiving
Experience working with kids
